Of rimming the sky....WAIT, THAT SOUNDS SO WRONG!!

*points to my background* (okay, in case I changed it. It's....the Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim logo)
See that? That's my main point - SKYRIMMMMM

XD
I realised that I have not blogged about this game so I'll just do this now, since I've got some time on my hands....

This game is just amazing.
Here, have a picture. :D

What? The Elder Scrolls V? It's the fifth installment in the elder scrolls series. I've never played the first 4, so I had completely no idea what to expect from this game. But all I have to say is that this game is just amazing. In most ways possible. It's an open world game, where you can wander Skyrim freely. Try to imagine like...World of Warcraft. Yeah, that's right. It's like WoW, where you carry out quests, help/kill people and the shit. LOL. Yup...

(This is going to be a loooonnnngggg post)

For those who know this game and love it, *high five*
For those who know this game and well...probably don't really fancy it....I don't know what to say.

So, for those who don't know this game, allow me to provide with you with a little sypnosis. =v=

IF YOU HATE SPOILERS DO NOT CARRRRYYYY OOONNNN!!!

**************Giving you a chance..It's your chance to turn back*****************

**********************Seriously now.....**********************

*********************Okay, you asked for it. =v=********************************

So, you start off being in a cart with 3 unknown men (*dramatic music plays*)
No, don't worry, you don't even know your gender in the beginning, so there's no point worrying. =v='l'

Anyway, they blabber about some Stormcloak crap and some guy named Ulfric is in the cart with you and apparently, he 'shouted' the previous High King of Skyrim apart. (Getting weird? Wait, it gets better. =v=)
Well, you then find out that you were on the way to the execution site- to execute who?
Well....whoever is in the cart (eventhough you're innocent. Good e.g. would be the guy from Rorikstead in the cart)

Oh yes, then you get to decide who you are. Whether are you a female or male, or what race would you like to be. Then customise your character accordingly. Something like Sims! :D

The races in Skyrim are:

NORDS

BRETON

IMPERIAL

REDGUARD

ALTMER (HIGH ELVES)

BOSMER (WOOD ELVES)

DUNMER (DARK ELVES)

ARGONIAN

ORC

KHAJIIT

INTERESTING HUH? XD

Then, just as you are about to be executed (beheaded, to be more exact), guess what appears to your rescue?
A Dragon. :D
Yes, a big cool dragon!!!!

YOU MEAN LIKE THESE????

YES!!! THEY ARE JUST SO AMAZING!!!!!
OMG!!! They can not only shoot fire, some can even shoot ice out!!! OMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMG
*lost in excitement*

*clears throat* Sorry. =.=

Yeah, so eventually you escape the execution site with either (One of the officers or one of the convicts)
They will eventually ask you to join either one side of the war (The Imperials or the Stormcloaks)

So, yeah. That's where your journey starts. Then you will carry out quests, etc...until then you find out that you are a Dragonborn.
What's a dragonborn?

"Skyrim legend tells of a hero known as the Dragonborn, a warrior with the body of a mortal and soul of a dragon, whose destiny it is to destroy the evil dragon Alduin."

That's the generic definition of a Dragonborn. Haha. A dragon born is basically a human/whatever-race-you-are that is able to speak the language of the dragons because of the dragon blood inside them.

The main point about Skyrim is about the Dragonborn defeating the enslaving dragon, Alduin, who has returned after being sent away for I think hundreds of years? Dragons have not been sighted for a very long time until the dragon in Helgen (where you were about to be executed)
So, the Dragonborn will discover his/her duty to learn about being a Dragonborn and use the gift to save mankind from Alduin.
Seems interesting enough?
It doesn't stop there, you get to carry out more big side quests like the Companions quest, the Thief Guild quest and the College of Winterhold quest. (All of these seem like alien language to you? Don't worry, play and you will understand :D)

Speaking of which, I have included the map of Skyrim here! :)

Skyrim has 7 main holds:
Markath, Solitude, Winterhold, Riften, Whiterun, Falkreath and Morthal

It's a lot to explore, but take time and just enjoy the game. :)
For me, this game has like...the most stunning sceneries and environment ever....It is just....breathtaking. Especially looking at the aurora at night or the mountains, the waterfalls, the streams, the rivers, everything about the environment is just....TOP NOTCH!

TRY IT OUT!!!!! OMG!!!! XD

FUS RAH DAH!!!!!

Day 64 and Day 65 and of Crying Devils

Day 64 and 65! :D

I've finally finished DMC!! XD

YAYYYSSS TOOO MEEEE!!

The DmC: Devil May Cry game cover. :D

This is a fairly good reboot or whatsoever-you-guys-call-it. I will just call it a reboot but then again, this is the prequel to almost everything.

Of course the main character would be the oh-so-hawt-Dante. :)
This guy here has a demon father and an angel mother- which makes him a Nephilim, a cross-breed between the two races and apparently, Nephilims are the only ones who can slay demons.

So, generally, at the start of the game, we can see how much of a party-boy Dante is. Hanging out in the club and bringing in girls and getting laid...yeah. He even wakes up naked and doesn't care if people would see his crown jewels. (If you've played the start, or seen it, you will get what I mean)

Oh, and in this game, you get to go into Limbo! Another world where the demons are and there, you will have to slay the demons and try to get out of it.

Yeah, so the main characters are generally:

From left:

Vergil
Dante's twin brother, also a Nephilim. Wields the Yamato. (For those DMC lovers, you will know this guy). Vergil is basically the leader of the so-called terrorists. However, he leads the group known as the Order against this demon king called Mundus (I will get to him in a bit). However, he will need Dante's help in order to do this.
P.S: (Probably not important to you guys, but I loveeee Vergil alot. Though I found him annoying at one point. =.= But still...he's a loving brother....)

Kat
A human girl who is also a medium, someone who can communicate with those in Limbo. Used to have a demon foster father or father, (no so sure, can't remember), and ended up killing him before she escape and got taken into the Order by Vergil. She's a really smart girl, being able to sketch out plans very carefully and also create her own mixture of...well, Limbo-Real World connecting formula thingy. She plays a pretty important role in guiding Vergil and Dante on their mission to destrooy Mundus.

Dante
Generally, many DMC lovers will know about this guy. His a Nephilim, and is the twin brother of Vergil. He wields the Rebellion, which only appears in Limbo and not in the real world. He's a little different from his brother in the sense that he is wilder while Vergil is more...composed. :) Anyway, he eventually realises that Mundus was the one who killed his mother and confined his father in endless hell-ish prison experience. So, yeah....

Mundus
Who is this dude? This is Mundus, the main antagonist of the story. Who is generally the demon king that the twins need to kill in order to set mankind free. Yup, cliche demon-slaying story. But then, this guy here, was the one who killed the twins' mother and confined their father. So, how eff-ed up can that be for the twins? He literally ate Eva (the twins' mother)'s heart! OH GOD WHY....
He's a real bad-ass. But rather useless really...Once you play the game, you will know...=.=
Only know how to impregnate another demon and ended up getting both the demon and his child killed.

So, to summarize the story up a bit: Dante gets a hold of his memories from his past back after being erased and such and then reunites with his long-lost twin brother, Vergil who so happened to be the leader of the so-called terrorist group known as 'The Order'. He also seems to be attracted to one of the Order's member: Kat...(Hmmm)
Thus, Dante will have to go through hell and shit and hell again to get to Mundus and slay him and end his slavery for once and for all!!
(So heroic. Haha. But I can guarantee you that...he is damn hot...and cool...and cocky...and bratty...but HAWT)

HAHAH!!!
It's not so bad afterall...I don't know why people say that it sucked and all the sort and that they didn't like the new Dante...I've played the 4th DMC...(I know, it's more of Nero's story...) but then I've read about a few of the previous series, and I guess this Dante is like the Dante at the beginning before the series started. It's like how things became...what they are.

I personally feel that this is really not bad. Really, Dante's like that hot-tempered brat who doesn't seem to like being caught up in some serious shit but ends up in that shit because he realises that he could make a difference. He's been through hell since a young age...Kinda remind me of Nero in DMC4...hot-tempered. And then you can see how he matures throughout the other DMC series...

However, in the end, it's just the viewers'/players' personal view at the end of the day. So, I'm not gonna say anything more. Just play the game and decide for yourself. I still feel that this is a pretty good game. It still holds the classic DMC aspects in it. :D

Hurrah!

(P.S: I'm addicted to the track 'Lilith's Club'....It's just so catchy!!!)

Have a blast! :D

WORRIES, BEGONE!

Thursday, 28 March 2013

I think I'm just gonna do this anyway.

I'm gonna post something about the celebs that I like...Like seriously....I need to let out this pent-up feelings (Oh god why)

So, Imma start first with....
Joseph...yes...Joseph Gordon-Levitt

Well, to start things off:

Name: Joseph Leonard Gordon-Levitt
Birthday: 17th February 1981 (Born in Los Angeles)
Nationality: American
Notable works:
1. Inception
2. Premium Rush
3. Looper
4. 3rd Rock from the Sun
5. 50/50
6. 500 Days of Summer
7. The Dark Knight Rises
8. 10 Things I Hate About You

Joseph is generally an actor, a director, a producer and a writer. He owns a company called hitRecord and it is an online collaborative production company. It focuses mainly on the arts like movies, music, performances, literature and photography.

Well, I generally came to know about Joseph after Inception (He made it big as Arthur, the point man) and right after, I began watching other shows that involved him like 50/50, 3rd Rock, Premium Rush and The Dark Knight Rises (okay, for this, I just simply love Batman. So, if I don't watch this, I'm a failure <---*piak*)

This man is simply adorable! When I saw him in 3rd Rock, I was like...OMG, THIS KID IS SO ADORABLE!!! (and to think that now he is about 13 years older than me. XD) He potrays how a kid hitting puberty would actually act reallyyyyy well. And OMG....still....I love this man! He is awesome!! XD

His performance in 50/50 was very much memorable. It shows how a cancer patient could actually react....he may look okay on the outside, but inside, he may actually be crumbling...

Anyway, yeahhhh. Joseph, U AWSM. <---LOL THIS LANGUAGE
You are awesome!!! XD

Of Baker Street and the Detective Holmes

Well, it's been a long time since I've watched this show, until today. Even as I write now, I am watching this amazing show with my friends. It's Sherlock, people, Sherlock!!! A crime-solving drama brought to you by BBC. XD

Anyway, like all the previous posts, I'mma just touch a bit on this show.

Created by Steven Moffat and Mark Gatiss (who so actually happens to play Mycroft Holmes in the series), this story generally revolves around the famous Sherlock Holmes. Well, you would think of Robert Downey Jr.'s hilarious rendition of Sherlock Holmes and a wee bit of those old coal-running transportations...Nope, this version of Sherlock Holmes is set in the modern area. Just imagine, Sherlock using a Blackberry and set in the busy city of London (well, of course London. Baker Street's there, damnit!)

So, at first I was pretty skeptical about this series...However, my friend (I call her the pioneer of our group because she was the one who spread the love for Sherlock), had me watch 1 episode, the first one; ''A Study in Pink" and instantaneously, I got hooked...

I had never thought this sort of twist would be.....Oh gods....amazing....This is genius! Like seriously. Who would have ever thought of Sherlock being implemented into a modern setting? Steven Moffat and Mark Gatiss are just amazing! Oh goddsss...

Anyway, just a small intro on the characters:

1. Sherlock Holmes

Played by the superbly talented Benedict Cumberbatch (Hawking, War Horse, Star Trek, The Hobbit), this Sherlock Holmes is almost as eccentric (in his own way) as what I would imagine him would be. A wee bit different from Robert Downey Jr.'s version, who seemed to be....well, eccentric as well I just can't describe it in words (Gods, I'm a failed blogger). Oh yes, he's neater....in terms of dressing up as compared to Robert's Sherlock. (Not that I'm saying I don't like Robert's, I like his just fine :))

Anyway, Benedict played Sherlock very very well indeed, with the poise and his speech. Everything is just well done.

I would say that Sherlock spouts an immense number of sarcastic remarks and never fails to amuse me. Audience will come to love this incredibly intellectual observant man because to me, he just topped the chart of the Best Sherlock Holmes.

Hurrah, Benedict Cumberbatch, a fine choice. :)

2. Dr. John Watson

Well, every Sherlock Holmes needs a John Watson, otherwise, who's gonna suck up all of Sherlock's rants? Haha. Played by the somehow-adorable Martin Freeman (I have no idea why the 'somehow' is there...)

Nonetheless, straight to the point, John appears in the first episode with a cane on his side. Well, generally he has a psychosomatic limp (Lookie right up in Google, I'm just so damn lazy to search it). Just got back from war, John 'still has trust issues' at the beginning of the show and well, is looking for a place to stay in London. There is where....he meets his friend, Mike Stamford. (Hah, you thought I would write Sherlock, didn't you?)
Mike was the one who introduced John to Sherlock, who so happened was looking for a flatmate. (Neat, isn't it?)

Haha, I don't wanna spoil anything else, that's just the gist of it.

Anyway, Martin's version of John Watson is just adorable. Martin Freeman has this comedic look eventhough you can pretty much tell he's looking serious. I guess his characters just turn out adorable most of the time(e.g Bilbo Baggins).

3. James Moriarty

Now, what is a show without a villain?

Haha, Jim Moriarty, Sherlock's greatest rival who stands on par with him in terms of intellect. As opposed to Sherlock, who is a Consulting Detective, Jim, played by Irish actor, Andrew Scott, is a Consulting Criminal, both being the only ones in their respective career.

So, let's cut to the chase, when Jim was first introduced, I had not even suspected him a bit. Not even once. Until he came out and introduced himself...
Jim Moriarty...you will just come to love and hate this man. He is so evil that you hate him for hurting Sherlock, but at the same time, you will love him because he is also eccentric and insane. And he is such a genius! Like an evil counterpart of Sherlock.

Andrew Scott's potrayal of Moriarty is much to be applauded for because, well...he did it so well. He has this Moriarty aura that he emits all the time in the show. A real mastermind, I would say...really.

So, I don't think I should distribute more spoilers. These 3 are generally the main three characters of the series. There are several others, like Ms Irene Adler and Mycroft Holmes, but I'll just leave the future audience to find out for themselves. After all, where's the fun in all if there are spoilers? :)

that's all I can talk about for BBC's Sherlock. So, if you haven't watched it yet, I would so recommend this show. It may be long for a single episode, but it works, really. :)

Signing off, cheers! XD
